Suma Root: " Brazillian Ashwagandha"

Suma is often used as an adaptogen, which is a substance that helps the body resist stress, toxins, and bacteria.

Anti-inflammatory. Suma root can help reduce inflammation, which is a good response to short-term injuries and illnesses.

Mental health

One study found that a component of suma root called 20-hydroxyecdysone (20E) can help reduce stress and anxiety.

Suma is a now thought to be extinct tribe from the area known as corpus christi Texas to the mountains of Guatemala. However, the suma people influenced through the discovery and use of this indigenous plant to Northern Mexico went far and wide though out south America. And now the world.

This root is named from the tribes of that area of precolumbian Texas and has a panacea use in the various herbal systems of South America. It is reported that only a bout 800 pounds are harvested annually from the area. I have procured the root for the production of the extract from wild crafted sources in Brazil.

It is commonly known as Brazil Ashwagandha. This is a great comparison for I can attest that both definitely work well at promoting muscle growth and strength output as well as increased endurance.

Suma root also has anti microbial properties that are a part of its anti infection and fever reduction due to conditions like malaria or sinus infections and viruses.

Its effective hormonal output increases can and does help strengthen the ache rheumatic states from fevers or adrenal fatigue felt during a cold.
I can definitely see why they would use it for everything. Ashwagandha from India isn't used particularly as an antimicrobial. Or the first thing thought to use foe infections, but for many Amazonians, this is their go-to.

If you're looking for an herb that brings strength and elevates your mood and can boost immunity, try the Suma. It feels like a good day in the warm jungles of Brazil.
